My name is Niklas Wijk and let me shortly introduce myself for you how do not know me.

I am 36 years old and live in Gothenburg, I started to work on ships in the end of the 1980’s and worked on various types of vessels lik   echemical tankers, VLCC, product tankers and cruise vessels. I have graduated from Chalmers Technical University 1995, Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering. There after, I have been working on ships as an engineer in various positions. In 99-00, I did study Maritime Law, English American Contract Law, and Insurance Law at the Oslo University during my free periods of the ships. In 2000 I started to work for GARD, a mutual marine insurance club, focusing on the marine market, as a surveyor. My scope of work included, damage and condition surveys, claims handling and claims adjusting.

In June 2006 I started to work as Technical Manager at Vopak Gothenburg. I'm very much looking forward to work and develop our maintenance plans and improve the safety at the terminals. In my free time I like sports in general, especially skiing (down hill), sailing, the sea is a passion.
