Fall protection
A new fall protection has been installed at Vopak 4, the Chemical terminal in Gothenburg (See image below). When trucks are being loaded, the truck driver needs to stand on top of the trailer and monitor the compartment being filled. During this process it has been incidents were the drivers have fallen down and injured them selves. With the fall protection the driver must have a vest connected to a wire on before climbing up on the trailer. Wherever there is a risk for a fall Vopak aims to eliminate it, in this case we create a safe working environment for all personnel visiting Vopak.
Warning beam ahead of pipe racks To prevent high trucks from driving into pipe racks within the Vopak premises, we have installed warning beams ahead of pipe racks. Before a too high truck gets near the pipelines the warning beam will alert the driver of the pipe rack ahead. |
